Beginning in 1873

The first railway linking the area of Macedonia occurred in 1873 when it established rail link between Thessaloniki and Skopje with the Oriental Railroad (CO - Chemins de fer Orientaux) phased:
  • Thessaloniki - Miravci on 06.06.1872 year

    Macedonian Railways from 1883

    MZ 1883

    Oriental Railroad (Eastern Railway) is the first company which exploits the rail link between Thessaloniki - Skopje.
    This rail between the people but the official acts, and is known under the name "Macedonian Railways" for the speeches and the timetable of 1883.

    Veles - Stip 1923 year

    In July 1923 the Directorate for building railways were ordered to build a section of the Veles to Stip. Building starts on 01.11.1923 and before the planned deadline of October 20, 1924 the first train enters in train station Stip.

    Kicevo 1943 year

    Partisan rail in free territory for three days transferred more than 20,000 people for the national rally in Kicevo on September 26, 1943 with 50 wagons and 11 locomotives series 99.4 to 600 mm. narrow gauge line.

    Gradsko - Shivec 1977 year

    Decision of 22 November 1977 year. for construction of the railway line from the Gradsko - Shivec (smelter "Fannie") is located on the territory of the municipalities Titov Veles and Kavadarci and will run through the populated areas Gradsko, Palikura, Rosoman, Ribarci, Manastirci, Trstenik and Shivec.
    In public transport 17 km tracks were released in December 1982.
